ORDINANCE NO. 1208
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AMENDING SECTION
15.36.010 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING FOR REGULATIONS
GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR
EXPLOSION, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR HAZARDOUS
USES OR OPERATIONS, AND ESTABLISHING A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION
AND PROVIDING OFFICERS THEREFOR AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND
I DUTIES; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 1045 AND 1124.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman:
Section 1
That Section 15.36.010 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
15.36.010 Document Adopted by Reference
There is hereby adopted by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman for the purpose
of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and
explosion, that certain Code and Standards known as the Uniform Fire Code, including all
Appendices except Division V, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards, published by the Western
Fire Chiefs Association and the International Conference of Building Officials, being particularly
the 1985 editions thereof and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set
out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the
City of Bozeman, Montana.
Section 2
Ordinances Repealed.
All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed. These are:
Ordinance No. 1045, entitled AN ORDI NANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN ADOPTI NG
I UNIFORM FIRE CODE, adopted January 9, 1980; and
Ordinance No. 1124, entitled AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
AMENDING SECTION 15.36.010 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING FOR REGU-
LATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR
EXPLOSION, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR HAZARDOUS USES OR
OPERATIONS, AND ESTABLISHING A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION AND PROVIDING OFFI-
CERS THEREFOR AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES, finally adopted March 14, 1983.
Section 3
Savings Provision.
This ordinance does not affect rights and duties that matured, penalties that were
incurred or proceedings that were begun before the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 4
Severability.
If any provision of this ordinance is declared unconstitutional, or the applicability
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the constitutionality of the remainder of
the ordinance and applicability thereof to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected
thereby.
