Message: I am writing to comment on the rezoning from Mendenhall to Lamme that will be
voted on at the City Commission meeting on June 27th. I urge you to not rezone the area.
Rezoning will have huge negative impacts to the neighborhood. At the June 15th community
meeting residents of the neighborhood watched and listened to the City's PowerPoint
presentation. The question and answer period that followed showed that neighborhood residents do not support rezoning. Some of the comments were; • potential large developments will make
the neighborhood a "sacrifice" area. • the neighborhood, which is quite small will be wedged
between two R5 zoning areas • increased traffic from the developments will impact the
neighborhood At the meeting, there was no neighborhood support for rezoning. Please do not
