ORDINANCE NO. 1156
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AMENDING
SECTION 2.68.020 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE; PROVID-
ING FOR THE ZONING COMMISSION.
PRE A M B L E
The purpose of this amendment is to conform the city I
ordinance to the requirements of state law (Section
76-2-307, M.C.A.) regarding the appointment of the
commission members. The current ordinance provides
for appointment by the mayor with concurrence of the
commission.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
That Section 2.68.020 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.68.020 Membership--Appointment procedure.
The zoning commission shall consist of seven members appointed by
the city commission. One of the zoning commission members shall hold con-
current offices as a member of the c~ty~county planning board, and one of
the zoning commission members shall hold concurrent offices as a member
of the board of adjustment of the city. In addition, the city commission
shall appoint five at-large zoning commission members. Two of the five
members which are appointed at large shall be residents of Gallatin County
residing outside the city limits, but within the zoning jurisdiction of the
city. I
PROVISIONALLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City
of Bozeman, Montana, this 12th day of March 1984.
