ORDINANCE NO. 1157
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AMENDING
SECTION 18.66.010 OF THE BOZEMAN MUNICIPAL CODE; PROVI -
DING FOR A BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT.
PRE A M B L E
The purpose of this amendment is to change the method I
of appointment of the members of this board from mayoral
appointment to appointment by the city commission as a
whole.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
That Section 18.66.010 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
18.66.010 Created--Membership and term of office.
The board of adjustment is established to act on variance applications
as detailed in this title. The board shall consist of five members appointed
by the city commission for three year terms (with staggered terms).
PROVISIONALLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City
of Bozeman, Montana, this 12th day of March 1984.

appointment to appointment by the city commission as a
whole and to add certain residential qualifications.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
That Section 18.66.010 of the Bozeman Municipal Code be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows: I
18.66.010 Created--Membership and term of office.
The board of adjustment is established to act on variance applications
as detailed in this title. The board shall consist of five members appointed

by the city commission for three year terms (with staggered terms). At least
three members shall reside within the city limits. All members shall reside
within the zoning jurisdiction of the city.
FINALLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of
I Bozeman, Montana, and approved by the Mayor of said City this 26th day of March
1984, and effective thirty (30) days after said date.

I, Robin L. Sullivan, Clerk of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
